This week, we will learn about Jesus taking the place of God’s people and become the substitute for each one of them. There’s a verse that helps to make this make even more sense, and it’s our challenge verse for this week. .... “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed”…. What we see in this verse is that Jesus took our sin on Himself and that He took the punishment that each of us deserved. Jesus stood in our place as our substitute, taking the punishment of death that is required for sin.
